Joel Klaff began making drapery for film productions in Chicago and teamed with Diekmann, a fashion designer, nearly ten years ago to create their intimate design studio, Workroom Couture Home. As the name implies, they bring hand made aspects to all of their work. Tailored esthetics, exquisite detailing and unexpected combinations are signatures of this teams work. They like to say that they offer their clients a casual approach to modern living. Always searching for new materials from flea markets to contract fabrics, this duo is never short on ideas and creative solutions.
Their work can be seen in television series, Empire and The Exorcist. But Klaff does like to recall the beautiful work on films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the fantasy flight of Passengers and the historically correct Hidden Figures.
